We've still got a load of whisky left over from Christmas, and now it's really hot it'd be nice to make some kind of cocktail with it. Ideally something simple (ie, doesnt involve buying a different sort of alcohol to mix with it).

I used to make these when I drank:

The bitters aren't essential.

Whiskey with some sugar syrup and lemon/lime juice can be good and summery! Or just whiskey with ginger ale/coke and some ice (although I'm sure you've thought of that)

Someone gave me one of those at one of your house parties. I was expecting it to be rank, but it was actually pretty good to be fair

So general consensus seems to be citrus then, cheers guys!
Also I can't believe ginger ale didn't occur to me  I love whisky and ginger wine as a winter drink, so ginger ale seems to be the logical summery version!

I have an interview later today for a marketing/sales role at a company in Brighton and this question is probably going to come up, as it always does

"Where do you see yourself progressing to within the next 5 years?"

The only reason I'm going for the job is because i wanna move to brighton and in truth, right now in 5 years I dont want to have anything to do with marketing, I've always just seen where life takes me,
but that answer has never worked in interviews before :P so does anyone have any advice on this one?

Well they are asking the question to identify if you have personal ambition, a drive to succeed and commitment to the company/industry so I generally just construct some spiel about how I want to progress up their ladder and be given a responsible position/change the world/be allowed to wear to wear my underpants on the outside and carry off vulnerable women to safety. All that jazz.
I used to have a link to a social networking site here but these days you all probably already know who I am.

I'd just be really vague. Like "performing a rewarding role in a challenging environment" or some bollocks like that.

Say you want to "pursue the policy of collectivization in agriculture to facilitate the process of rapid industrialization."

I hate that question too. I'm never sure whether to be over-ambitious or realistic. I applied for a job at Boots head office, thinking I wanted to go into advertising and marketing, and they asked that question. Had no idea what to put so I said I saw myself in charge of a whole branded line of products. No idea if they appreciated it or not, the maths exam scuppered me.
