Nice one!

As a big McLaren fan, this is certainly a season to forget,i've got a horrible feeling that Red Bull will get a handle on the new regs before everyone else (They're that bloody good) and the season will be over by Sept/Oct. Hope i'm wrong though...

I really hope he pulls through. Formula One and Schuey were a huge part of my childhood.

Can't say I like the man, but I really hope he recovers.

Yep, that pretty much sums up my views.

Ditto, even if it fucked me off how he dominated things and ruined my fun in the early noughties.

So, Formula 1 called. Asked me to keep the noise down as they can barely hear their engines any more.

***SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER***

Corking opening race! Rosberg win, Ricciardo (I believe I heard his name pronounced properly once, from Alonso's engineer) putting in a great performance, and Magnusson doing brilliantly. I was impressed with Hamilton over how he behaved after his retirement Bottas will probably win at some point. Massa continues to moan and whine at racing incidents, shame about the Lotus lot, and I didn't know John Button had died! But at least he got to witness his lad win a world championship.
If it sounds good, listen to it

I thought qualifying was fantastic. The race was OK, but nothing special. The Mercedes works cars are worryingly quick. If a 30 second winning margin is in any way representative, then they could prove even more dominant than Red Bull have been for the last few years. Pleased to see both McLaren and Williams having a decent start to the season.

I watched the highlights and I actually prefer the new engine sounds. They're kinda sci-fi.

Bugger.... it has only just occured to me that MotoGP is not being shown on the beeb anymore! Short of changing internet provider, does anyone know how to watch it? Im flying to Texas for the second race, so this is one year when i REALLY dont want to just bin it off and not follow it. Particularly the first race of the season.

BT have got it haven't they? Bugger, I'd forgotten about that. This year should be interesting, looking forward to it greatly.

They certainly have. After a little research on my lunchbreak, people with either BT Broadband or BT Vision will get it for free, either via their TV or online. Those without, and unwilling to switch, are slightly buggered. If they get Sky then they can purchase the BT Sport package for £15 per month but.... to my mind you have to get a lot of use out of it to make that worth the cost, and i personally cannot justify that.

So for me, im gonna have to look into whether there is any way to find it online for free. And that is an area i have no experiance of (i wish i did.... there are at least three awesome tv series that ive been unable to see through to the end as Netflix doesnt buy all the seasons of a show for some unfathomable reason) so if anyone can point me in the right direction...

Interesting race, shame Vettel couldn't get past, but far more annoyingly I find Ricciardo's penalty for the next race absolutely ridiculous :x
