I feel exactly the same. Yes, he's a British driver, and yes he did very well this year. But the amount of arselicking from the BBC is simply unacceptable, particularly when there are a) other British drivers competing and b) even if there weren't, who cares about the nationality of the driver? A season review should be just that - a review of the standout performances and notable moments of the whole season, regardless of which car or driver was responsible.

I agree, anyone heard of Anthony Davidson, for example?

Remember Justin Wilson?

Oddly enough, I do, and I believe he's with sky sports now. However I don't really get your point...?

We're highlighting other, less successful Brits in recent-ish formula 1 history, who aren't ever given as much hero worship as Lewis.

He's another Brit that won another FIA driver's championship this (last, 2014) year. Pretty much zero recognition from BBC.

Fair enough, although I think in those cases it's a bit more understandable which is why I wasn't sure if that was your point, whereas Button won a title the following year from Hamtilton and then scored more points than Hamilton after 3 seasons together, yet is still seen as nowhere near as good. Which is downright ludicrous imo.

3 possible ideas at the moment. An old Jag, BMW 318 or a Chrysler Voyager.

Realistically, go for the boring option and pick the BMW. Reliability is the critical feature for something like that.

Just got back from Hednesford Hills Raceway, for the 16th instalment of the Civil War. Unfortunately (for me) the South were triumphant this year, taking the score to 9-7 to the North, who I'm sure will be out for revenge next year.

Overall a great day racing, fully recommended it to anyone.

Oh my god I am so happy right now :D :D :D :D :D

Vettel is fucking back! That fucking victory scream as well, I know they won't be as strong in other races as here, but he *could* even fight for the championship.

Also Hamilton was acting like a right bitchy little kid on the team radio

Didn't watch the race, did he only win on tyre change tactics? Not to belittle his win, of course, I'd happily take Vettel over Hamilton as a race winner.

Can't wait for BTCC at Brands Hatch next weekend - we went to the launch at Donington, should be a really interesting season.
