Two weeks into gym-going, I'm seeing progress, which is hugely encouraging. Increased definition all over.

See a doctor broheim. Back problems ain't gucci.

Also realised I've been on this whole "lifestyle change" malarky for a year now. Still fat as fuck, but weird to think how quickly time passes. 6 1/2 stone down, which ain't as good as I could've done, but better than I expected.

6.5 stone is ridic. You're awesome.

Also a lifestyle change is for life, who cares if it's a year or five in the making? Your previous life was not sustainable, now it is. You're still awesome.

Yeah, real lifestyle changes are just that, lifestyle changes. They can take years, which is why most people have problems.

Been on ketosis for a while and getting really lean which is good, even if the diet makes me sad inside.

I know there's no quick fix for this shit, but I thought I'd ask, what's the quickest way people have found to cut down on excess fat? Packing a bit of extra squash that I need gone.

Clean diet, plenty of water, with some High Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) 3-4 times a week. And no carbs after 6pm...

As simple as that. Sticking to those rules is another matter all together....

If it's just a little amount, I'd reckon jumping on Keto for a little while will do it.

It gets rid of a fuck load of water weight, and generally encourages pretty low cal eating because of the stuff.

Don't do it myself because I could never stop eating carbs, but I hear people have a load of success with it.

That's the problem. I fucking love carbs. It's pretty much all I enjoy eating.

Yeah, know that feel.

Well the obvious is sign up for myfitnesspal/loseit/caloriecounterofchoice and just work it down normally with a bit of exercise.

Your alternates are probably a juice cleanse or a serious methamphetamine addiction.

Yeaah I have issues with calorie counters. I don't like them and think they're a bit silly.

Think I'll just take up the meth.

It's worth a go, I won't lie, it is very hard to do, but the results are worth it. Besides, you can go back onto carbs occasionally (in fact it's a necessity to boost your metabolism back up, ketosis will make it pretty much flatline after a month or so) so it's not like no carbs ever. Keep your carbs under 20g while on it, then have a break for about three/four days every month.

If you don't want to go for that though peypea, one of the easier ways to drink lots of water and cut out any fizzy drinks. Sounds weird but drinking water helps get rid of water weight. Combine that with the usual cutting out or massive downscaling of snacks, plus completely cutting out things like bread, noodles and pasta is pretty effective. Maybe throw in some cardio if you can, as well.

Yeah, my plan was to cut down on the sugar, or at least try. And try to start running. But yeaaah.

You still heavy boozing?

If so might be worth swapping to spirits for a bit, depending on how you handle spirits. I got a mate who can't drink em for shit, he ends up angry and throwing up and shit.
