Going to the gym in the mornings before work is so much better at the moment. Feeling much more refreshed by the time I get to work and feeling like I've accomplished something.

Also I bought a Fitbit for relatively cheap in the airport to monitor what I'm doing and how restless (read: faptastic) my sleep is for blood sugar reasons.

I've read that Fitbits actually log fapping as steps.

Lost about 3-4lbs of muscle and gained 1-2lb of fat over the last 2-3 weeks, not good >.< going to a festival next week won't help either!

Here to jerk myself off again, few pounds under 16 stone, and 8 stone down overall. Ezpz.

Now to ruin a bunch of progress with 4 days of burgers and cider.

It's about time I lost some weight. No idea what I weigh now . . A lot more than I should, that's for sure.

Target, 100kg.

Time to make a few changes.

Broke my squat record today, was actually piss easy and all. Only because I've been avoiding 1MR and going for 5MR instead, mind.

Turns out that my mate gets to bring someone along on Fridays for free at his gym. I am pretty keen on this so hopefully starting next Friday ill be doing that. Its the gym I used to be a member at a couple of years ago. I may even see if they can do me a deal...win me back etc. Worth a punt. Need it to be honest, my daily can of Amp is starting to show.

Back at my old gym for a whole penny less per month than when I signed up 4 years ago :D

Going with stepbrother too to keep a good schedule, it's all looking good :)

Ok fitness buffs, Need some advice,

Just over 2 weeks ago I joined the Gym, I've been going 5 times a week and I'm doing about 30 mins of weights and 30 mins Cardio. I've lost sod all yet.

What am I doing wrong?
Where's my old bloody account gone?!

How many calories are you eating a day?

Cereal for Breakfast.

Typically a variation of salad for lunch

And for Dinner it varies, something like pasta, boiled spuds and some kind of meat.

And usually water and couple of espresso's at work, and at home either tea (no sugar) and maybe a beer/ glass of wine every other night in the week.

Tend to have 4/5 pints on a friday or saturday night, surely that's not the problem.

On the bright side, Wednesday is my "weigh day" and I've shifted 3 pounds this week. Talking to a mate of mine who's lost 3 stone over the last 12 months, he says he lost barely anything for the first month or so then it all dropped off. Maybe that's it?

Keep track of what you eat. Exercising is brilliant for cardiovascular conditioning, which is great for overall health, but if you want to shift weight as a primary goal, you will need to get a grip on what you're putting into your body versus what you're expending in the gym.

Count the calories of everything you eat on a given day, just to see what you're putting in. You might find it's higher than you thought. That's not a problem, it's just your baseline. Work with that number to find a reasonable deficit (not too low since you're exercising quite intensively by the sounds of it), and the weight loss will happen. Easy peasy.

Regarding what your friend said, I personally found that the weight loss was pretty much instant. I overhauled my intake before I even thought about joining the gym or exercising. I honestly believe that diet is the largest part of weight loss, so do consider looking at what you're eating, and make it work with changes to your exercise regime.
