When I booze it's not exactly heavy. I just get drunk way easy :P I handle spirits okay though! Probably worth swapping from beer to something less heavy...

But yeah, swapping from beer to like diet coke and vodka or something might be worth a shout.

Yeah, definitely worth dropping the beer. Spirits with something like Coca Coca Life is actually not too bad.

The Life one is actually alright. Diet pepsi/coke is horrid, but Life actually tastes something like the real thing.

That's because Life is still sugary as balls. It's not suitable for diabetics for example as the sugar content is still pretty high, it's just a more natural sugar.

Reached the point where being the only girl (bar one girl on a treadmill and a brick-shithouse of an older woman) in the gym doesn't bother me. Probably sounds stupid but it was a huge mental block at the beginning.

There was a TV science programme on not long ago and they found that people who spend a lot of time standing rather than sitting (such as a waitresses) burned the most calories, even taking account of gym workouts. And apart from social alcohol, just drink water.

I know what you mean. I probably still get odd looks but to be honest I don't even notice anymore.

I find getting stomach definition the hardest, I walk 3.6 miles combined to work and back 6 days a week and am constantly on my feet at work and have been doing this for over a year and I still look pudgy as before. I don't eat excessively badly (I have a balanced diet but am prone to the odd can of pepsi here and there) but I'm too tired after work to do any working out. My metabolism sucks

Tried leg press for the first time last week, now pressing 1.2x my bodyweight. Aiming to get to 1.6x which I think is considered pretty good?

Also had a bloke staring at me during my whole shoulder press routine today. Whyyy.

Sounds like your classic gym creep. Give him the old Undertaker throat slash to scare him off

Over the process of four years I have slowly turned my bedroom into a personal gym. I find it much easier to focus and I don't need to wait to use any bloody machines.
