Cats recognise cat people. You'll find it's mostly people who aren't keen on cats who say they are stand-offish. Cats aren't daft, they know if you don't like them

I dunno, i'm not generally a cat person but there's a cat next door that started approaching me so now I stroke/play with it every time I see it :D I think it managed to convert me slightly, although my dog is still better.

I get on equally with both cats and dogs, and most other animals as it happens.

You need to recognise that they're different species from each other, and yourself, and communicate differently. Experience helps you get along with them, but they can pick up the fact you've had bad past experiences and are wary of them, and are thus wary towards you.

Discovering somewhere that sells Aecht Schlenkerla Rauchbier in Aberdeen. It only cost £2.75 when it was rung up on the till too - I expected it to cost at least £3.50!

That's fuck all considering that it is a small brewery in Bamberg that aren't big enough to even be always available in large supermarkets in Germany. Nowhere around my missus area sells it. Her dad drove all the way over to Bamberg to the brewery to pick it up because he "thought I might like a bottle." Guy is a fucking king.

Quite a surprising beer though. I may appear to be pro all things German, but beer isn't one of these things. This is one of a handful of German beers that isn't terribly generic. Ones I have had anyway.
