Off to a party/posh dinner later tonight where we'll be accepting the scholarship we won for work a few months ago. I'm a bit nervous as there will be loads of great chefs and doctors there to accept their prizes, but looking forward to tasting the food we'll be served. I never get to do things like this so it feels a bit surreal!

I don't like it when bits of the tobacco gets in your teeth though, since they don't have filters. :/

It was on Wednesday, but it just popped into my head again.

I was doing my weekly shift at the charity shop and I came up from the basement into the back room and met a volunteer I'd not seen before. She went "Ah, you must be Ben. I've heard a lot of good things about you from [the manager] and [the assistant manager], they say you're lovely and a hard worker!"

Put a smile on my face for the rest of the day.
