Gorgeous wedding reception last night. I got to talk to some people we don't see very often and met lots of lovely new people (well new to me anyway).

Ended the night in the foyer with one of Alex's oldest friends cuddling me and telling me the really lovely things he and his fiance think of me and that they can't wait for me to move up because they live just up the road and want to see us all the time and this all ended up in a big mess with "Oh I'd love to see you guys get married, it'd be so perfect."

Happy tears were just about averted until we got home :lol:

Oh, and having the whole room as a rather engrossed audience at one point for the four of us and a couple of other guests dancing outrageously to ACDC and Meat Loaf - complete with air guitars and foot long air keyboards, naturally :D

Power supply sorted for the house. Been a productive week.
So much easier speaking to a human being than trying to do things
through a shitty website with naff all info on what I actually need.

Pathetically e-mailed a mate because I've been unable to tell them how shit I feel face to face. Got a really nice response which ended;

As I say not much I can directly do for you but I will help in anyway I can, you just have to ask.

Love you and hope you already know that.

Genuinely means a lot to me. I probably would have cried if I had read that drunk.

My close mates have also asked me to move in with them; which surprised me hugely. It's really tempting but I'm unsure how I can afford it at the mo (I'm only contracted 12 hours a week) and getting to a job where you can't get there on public transport will be difficult as I'm currently using the family car but I'm going to give it serious consideration. I think my mates box room will probably be better for me than my parents house. As long as there's room for my computer because I am addicted to Internet forums.

My plan for next year is to do the one module I didn't complete this year from home, which means I can learn MaxMSP properly instead of rushing it to pass the year. As a result, I have time to 1) sort my head out, 2) do volunteer work locally, 3) make music and now, after a call from my college tutor, 4) do volunteer work at college helping the A-level kids with their recording coursework.

This means I'll pretty much be doing the same as the optional year in industry without paying half a year's fees to just stay on the register, as well as learning at uni (in these circumstances paying per module, so 1/8 of a year's fees) and commuting to Leeds once or twice a week for the lectures. By this time next year, my CV will be chocka with experience, relevant to my degree and otherwise, as well as having put out at least 1 release, which I started on a few months ago but haven't had time since to do anything on it, and above all I should be feeling more than ready to pick up where I left off and get on with life. Good times ahead.

Not today but joined a running club on Thursday and despite not doing much running for a while I survived an 8 mile run.

Also yesterday got told that I was brilliant by my boss and got a pay rise

How else do you know when dinner's ready?! :eyes:
