Just picked up my Reading Fest ticket from the Post Office and got talking to the bloke behind the counter about music and festivals for a while. Turned out he was an "old school rocker" and had seen Iron Maiden and others a few times. Also when I told him The Cure were headlining Reading he said his daughter has met Robert Smith a few times as she's friends with his nephew.

Really nice chap.

Got a place at Bristol University for Forensic Science :D as I finished my HND this yr, I only have to complete 2 years for a full BSc degree. Hadn't heard anything about my application for months, that phone call was pretty shocking!

Cheers guys! :D they've changed a few things around for me to be able to study, they've limited the optional modules that I can choose, like I can't choose cancer biology or applied genomics, but the ones I can choose sound much better! And I have to study extra modules in my final year to make up the credits so it'll be mega hard. So happy I cried though haha.

Do it! It's super interesting, and last year I went on trips such as to MoD and fired machine guns, and to post mortems, etc. We were supposed to go to Geneva to see the Large Hadron Collider too, but that bloody fell through. The science is very intense though, a lot of people on my HND thought it was all investigation stuff like on CSI with no science, it's in the name really :P

Might be a bit too old to retrain  Pushing 30.
It's the science bit that would be the killer for me. Was never my strong point.

 They've obvs never watched CSI or NCIS.

Same really, I have no science A levels, didnt really have an interest in science at schooI. I must have my granchas genetics or something, he was a leading scientific researcher in his time :)
And never too old in my opinion! The only problem would be work issues, but I'm more carefree about that really, I've just turned down a job offer at the Ministry of Justice for this course :P
