Been getting loads of overtime the last month or so, which is great for money, but i know after christmas they wont give me any, and also theres no chance of more contracted hours in checkouts unless you were born with a vagina. I know how that sounds but its true, they only want men for the hard work the women refuse to do. Again, i know how it sounds but its true. The reason im happy with that is the other department managers are pretty likely to offer me a better contract soon

Even though I really should've been doing uni work instead i'm really glad with the beginnings for the layout of the zine I did tonight. Such a step up from the quick cut n paste job i did last time, and definitely better than i thought i could do with my fairly terrible computer literacy and design skills. Band photos melting into fine art paintings and shit. If I can keep this level throughout the whole thing this is going to rule.

Pretty chuffed that I've avoided alcohol all week and actually eaten pretty well. at the moment I'm spending Mon-Fri in Reading for work and staying in a hotel. I'm trying to lose weight and it's not an easy thing to do when you have to either eat hotel food or eat out five nights a week.
