First week of the new job done, and the office Christmas party was tonight. Feels like I've been there for ages, everyone gets on so well. :D Funny seeing my professional and proper manager get roaring drunk and telling me everything he told me at the interview about the company's ethos again, only twice as fast and slurred.

All in all, everything's coming up Milhouse. Also it's Saturday tomorrow.

Now that he's gone to jail I hope I never have to see Jordan Horner's miserable ginger bearded meatball face in the news anymore.

Works christmas party. Some fucking delicious food, good drinks, and amazing cocktails. Someone made me a white russian with coco powder on top of it and it was like a chocolate milkshake with booze in it. And wow the people from work know how to get completely trashed.

No prizes for guessing where this link leads.

WMMHT:

Managed to get one of the last few Early Bird tickets for BOA 2014. I wasn't even aware there was a limited number of earlybird tickets.

Got almost half of my xmas shopping done.

Bought some Christmas beers, some buffalo mince and some "Knuckleduster" cheese.

Managed to overcome the glue problem on the new Hell album using Skipdoctor.
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

Early Bird tickets don't normally have a limit on them, every event I've came across that has an early bird system never had a limit.

To be fair, I don't think the limit would ever be reached, I see it as a way to get people to commit to buying tickets sooner, to cover more upfront costs of the festival.
Who the hell reads anything in sigs these days, unless it's an animated gif?

Judging by the official facebook, there was a limit in this instance.

I had assumed that all tickets bought before the 15th would be early bird. Seems that's not the case. They were counting down the number of early bird tickets left last night on facebook and now it states that all such tickets have sold out and prices have gone up to full-whack.

Fantastic feed at Cosmo (though running 25 minutes late to the party meant I couldn't fit in curry course in between ice cream course and dessert), hilarious standup set from a friend, good gig, bit of a catchup with Jamie, quiet rest of the night in watching rugby then a wee country drive detour on the way home.

After a few weeks of being a bit mopey, I think I'm starting to enjoy this being single lark. I had missed having this level of personal autonomy. Fun weekend.

They'd got the tree out here yesterday and in the dark all lit up it looked lovely. With the lights on I've realised it's white. Entirely white plastic. Absolute monstrosity.
