Nice tactical sparring (I had Froch ahead by one point) until he landed that punch.
Nighty night, Groves.

Further to my 'dating' ramblings, I'm talking to a couple of very lovely chaps with a lot of potential, but one in particular is very exciting. Fingers crossed. :B

This guy last night was fucking grand. I don't know what is about Ginger / Wildhearts shows, but they make me inordinately happy. Saw a lot of other great bands throughout the day at Camden Rocks, although ended up getting a bit more plastered than I had intended. Still, great fun.

Got to know my colleage who's also a furry a bit better today. Really down to earth guy, and managed to clear up a few of the myths surrounding the culture for me.

Still something completely alien to me though.

Also realised I'm actually fucking good at my job and succeeded at a blind wine tasting.

Yup - the Wildhearts were the first band I drove to see when I passed my test, on the PHUQ tour in 1995. I love the band, but Ginger always seems to carrying a burden when playing those gigs, and from what I've read, takes it very personally if things aren't going well, but his solo gigs seem to be a lot lighter in tone.

got a few shifts running the department by myself coming up. this is good for me because even if my manager fails to notice i am ready for the responsibility, as she has so far, the other managers have noticed and will notice when i do these shifts.

Anna Lo has decided not to quit politics and leave NI after the demonstration yesterday! There's another anti-racism demo this Saturday, shame I'll be in London.

Taking today off work was the best idea ever.

Got 100% MCM at work, which has given us our first 100% of the year for the store. MCM is basically mystery shoppers, we get scored on various things from availability of trolleys and baskets to cleanliness of the store to service in different areas. Considering I failed my last one with a pretty miserable score this is good news.

God I don't miss that shit mate. The manhunt for the person responsible of failing it is hilarious. I was one of these people that they were after, but they forgot I was in on the day in question but I was doing plinth change. 19:00 - 09:00 (out of trading hours). I was asleep at home when the MCM came in.

I always dread getting MCM tbh. I excel in the know your stuff category because I really know my shit I can help any customer with any problem, but I am not a people person so just having a customer at a till or self scan they get a "hi" and a "bye" and that is it  It is different on the customer service desk, I am just infinitely more comfortable in that setting and that way of dealing with customers, which is where the 100% has come from.

I wouldn't necessarily go as far as saying I am not a people person. I had a laugh and a joke with people, but those odd customers that really get you where they want you. Lets say I am completely retarded when it comes down to hiding my feelings in the work place. Woman in a spaz chariot whistling at me to help her get milk off the top shelf. No. Nope. NAWH.
