I pretty much only shave once a week to fix up the neckline (otherwise I get a pretty impressive neck beard) and every time I did it with a disposable, it gave me awful razor burn. So I decided to spend £6 on an old-fashioned safety razor and £2.50 for 15 blades to see if that will help.

Holy shit, I've just had the best shave of my life. The blades work out as less than 7p each, lasting about 5 uses. So not only are they cheaper than any disposable or cartridge, but a better quality. I AM NEVER GOING BACK.

Safety razors look the nuts to be honest, might have to get one.
Who the hell reads anything in sigs these days, unless it's an animated gif?

I got this razor and these blades. Feather blades are meant to be the best but they're a bit more pricey, so I went with those to be on the safe side. Don't bother with the blades that come with the razor (if you get that one), they're as blunt as a butter knife.

Went up to Belfast last night, met Gazz and the Skalmold guys, we showed them a bit of Belfast then had a few pints before sound check. While they were doing that I met Will who was visiting Dublin who randomly decided to come to the gig then met Beth and her friend Beth at the gig. Skalmold were rather good, Arkona were alright and Eluveitie were enjoyable. Then we all went to the "metal night" which ended up being pretty much empty so it was just us lot there

As the sole remaining resident Will on this forum, I should probably point out that Jamie's Will is not Me Will.

Anyway, my contribution: Made another stew and it's probably my favourite.
*Alan Bennett mode*
Can of Thwaite's dark mild.
2 turnips.
1 green pepper.
Pack of pork mince.
Pack of Polish sausage.
1 veg oxo stock.
1 Kallo chicken stock.
Shitload of thyme, sage, fennel seeds and pepper.

Minimal liquid, left to cook for 8 hours. Too tasty for the confines of the food thread.
If it sounds good, listen to it

A lot of little mundane things rounded up to a very nice whole today. Fucked about with my new guitar pedal gadgetry for a good hour or two, bought the right battery for our doorbell (last one got nicked), fresh fangly Elixir strings for my acoustic a gauge lighter than what came on it as stock, really freed up my playing. And then a roast dinner at the Gryphon tomorrow (FAO Hannah).

Also when I was in the hardware store buying the battery I asked "I need this very specific battery for my doorbell" so the lady found one and said "ooh, this one rings a bell" and we were all like this for a good minute

Somehow managed to skip what should have been a horrendous hangover.

Either that or you're still drunk and, as a result, the beer badger has postponed his visit.
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

Sunday roast at the Gryphon was fantastic. Filling enough not to need an evening meal.
