Spicy bean burger followed by good times at Devy/Periphery/Shining. Not even a fan of Periphery and they were solid, Devy was more intimate than last time and I went home feeling less alienated this time.

Any band I put on, he'll have a garunteed story, it's great.
"oh Bowie... back in 75' I was doing sound for Bowie and we'd all had too much blow and the tour manager bla bla bla" :D

That's exactly how I felt the last couple of times I saw him and it totally put me off tbh.

WMMHT: Now I've been offered both of the jobs I've actually bothered to attend interviews for. In the wonderful but also guilt-inducing dilemma of having to pick between a nice little job in a really good hospital/trust in Chester, or getting battered on a psychiatric intensive care unit in Bradford, in a hospital I've read some real horror stories about (although the staff I met were absolutely lovely, the whole experience was more relaxed and we just generally seemed to 'click'). I'm still very much leaning towards Bradford.

I always found the self-deprecating humour endearing but when it all gets a bit too internet meme-y, too happy-clappy, too wholesome, I wince and think well, y'know what, it's a great show, I'm happy that he's happy, but I can't really relate.

Oh, and 'grats on the job front by the way.

Wrexham FC is like a bad drug man. Almost all of the time it makes you feel awful and makes you a terrible person to be around. It makes you miserbale, angry and take it out on the people you care about. But you keep coming back, clinging to the vain hope that this time it'll be like that one glorious time many years ago when it made you happier than you've ever been in your life :P

Yeah, I couldn't really articulate it but that's basically how I felt too. And thank you very much!
