What has made you happy today

It just seems that everyone is off work next week and I know half term is due.

Well a bunch of us are going on holiday together, so that'd be one of the reasons!

I am fond of the idea of not doing stag do's but this one was pretty special. I am bruised to fuck from paintballing and the curry was fantastic. Piss up after was mint. Bit worried about how much I spent and all but that's tomorrows Turbo problems.


Also a mates sister started sending me messages over snapchat which I am keeping a bit at arms length. Like to the tune of "come back with *my brother*" I just pretended to interpret that as make sure he gets home. She's gorgeous but can do far better than me and I intend to make sure she does.

Just had to help my nephew with his homework making a handprint autumn tree. Maybe it's because I'm a lot more serious when painting, but I haven't enjoyed doing anything arty so much for years.

Today wasn't as shit as expected. Was looking like the 400 mile round trip to Margate and back was going to be at 60mph. My return was aborted so that was 200 miles down at 60 and sit in the back of the car watching youtube videos on the way back. Paid the same.

Woke up to a picture text from my boyfriend today, who's away on tour. He'd written I love you *insert embarassing pet name* in the sand on a beach somewhere. He's also been calling and texting every day, which I wasn't really expecting and tbh I'm just so happy right now can't wait for him to come home.

I've got an interview next week for a job I applied for with a different council. It's only a trainee position, and less money (only £17.1k down from 18.8k) so not the best thing I could get. But it would be fewer and more regular hours, and not involve dealing with the public. Where I am now my boss even said there'd be no room for any progression. Two years after graduation starting again from the bottom rung certainly feels a bit less ambitious, but I definitely need something less stressful.

Got my mortgage statement through. The house will be paid off by this time next year. I've been considering just paying it off early and being done with it, but because the capital amount is low, the interest is pretty negligible now, so I'm not sure it's really worth it.
