All that is gold does not glitter, not all those who wander are lost; the old that is strong does not wither, deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Just back from my first piano lesson in 6 years, I've completely forgotten most of my theory and my techinique is horrible, but it's great to get back to basics and start learning again.

The gritty spirit of the mudfest of a football match I just went to.

Oh and there's a 2-legged tie standing between me and Wembley :D

The Helloween album - gambling with the devil - is so good. Just listening to it now lol.

Katatonia...

Does anyone know why melancholy music tends to actually have an uplifting effect? I find it does most of the time, anyway.

You know it. My Dying Bride at 06 was one of the most uplifting shows I've ever seen, as anyone who saw me afterwards could testify.

As for what's cheering me up, my mate from uni came to visit, missed her loads so it was cool seeing her yesterday and today. And I'm going back on Saturday morning, so I'm officially 3 days from being back in the field :D Happy days. Oh and once again, the Grateful Dead are making me happy. All bands should be so taper friendly!

There's a point where it doesn't?

No. That stage is called denial.

Well, tell a lie. There was this utter fat heifer of a 'girl' I saw briefly just shy of about three years ago. I was more than happy to be single for a good year or so after getting out of that.

IMO, weakness is not dealing those feelings. We all get shit in our lives, and it takes a strong person to face those emotions and let themselves go through hell and deal with what they have to. I've done it, and I've got no question it was the most painful and horrible time of my life, but I came out of it at the beginning of 2007 a stronger-willed person.

Have an e-hug from Australia!

WMMHT? The sun, and still listening to Journey's 'Faithfully' (Xzar, I don't know why but you are so right!)

Aye, but weakness in the way I deal with those feelings however. I changed from a rather horrible yet strong/arrogant person into a very nice and rather ... emotional person. It's quite odd and I don't know when it happened.

Either way, thanks for the e-hug - it's the first I've had from Australia xD

Half pissed, half happy at the fact that! I emailed my english homework to college and it hasn't turned up -.- So... there's really no point turning up cos I'll just get screamed at / kicked out. So I'm meeting my friends at 11:15 instead then going to work for 2.

When you have the freedom to do whatever you like whenever you like without having someone go on at you.
That is when being single rules!!
Unfortunately the novelity wears off.

Had some offers (wow that makes me sound shallow and narrasistic) off some guys and a gal (now that make me sound like a slut) but I don't know. They are either long distant or would cause problems with my family (they would go mad if they knew I was bi) Unsure what I want at the moment.

Hey I am sure I will know when the right guy/ gal comes along- right???

Happy because it is wednesday and means another night at the gym.
Umm maybe I am addicted but I love it.
Will hopefully be fit by the time bloostock comes along :D
]I'm dyslexic and have trouble spelling. Please do not correct me.

I try my best...sometimes for you spelling nazis that is not enough

Arrogance is just a mask for weakness. Arrogance leads to boasts, and boasts leads to lies BY WHICH YOUR ENEMIES MAY DESTROY YOU. That is a valuable lesson I once learnt from a great friend of mine - Optimus Prime.

This is what I find to be the problem with most women :P

What made me happy today? The large amount of reply-worthy stuff that keeps cropping up on this forum recently.
