I'm seeing him a Junktion 7 tonight. Should be a good gig.

I was made happy today by the arrival of the Rose Tattoo CD that I ordered.

Just played a strange gig at what looked like a school hall in stafford...organised by a load of students...it was a death metal crowd so we were a bit worried about how we were gonna go down...but we kicked ass and outdid every band on the bill (and they were all pretty good tbh)..only downside was a bit of drama when the band after us decided to slag us off on stage. I know why they weren't very happy, but they should've told us face to face. Not on doing it on stage.

Never too loud (double-disk "best of" ).

I'll probably end up buying some of their studio albums though.

That Blaze gig was awesome. Keltic Jihad and Voodoo Six provided very good support too.
The sound could have been better - Keltic Jihad didn't get a great mix and when Blaze was playing, for the first few minutes the bass amp was farting like it had 20 pints of stout and a cheap vindaloo.
Still an awesome gig though. 'twas a bargain for £8!

Winning the Euromillions.

OK so it was only about £6 but still, that's my morning paper paid for this week.

It was quite a good turnout, but the fact that such a good band didn't sell the place out completely - especially with at ticket price of £8 - is puzzling and somewhat annoying.

I know a lot of people who are big Maiden fans and think that The X Factor and Virtual XI were reasonably albums, but won't give Blaze a chance either on CD or live.

It really annoys me that so many of my mates profess to be metalheads but won't even THINK about seeing bands like Death Angel, Blaze, Saxon and Exodus when they come to Nottingham. They might say they don't know the songs...even though they know full well that I can lend them the albums.

Managed to go out last night for once and left the group early to get the last bus home. Got talking to another bloke at the bus stop who after chatting to for a couple of minutes turned out to be the brother of my best mate at junior school. Small world!
