Thanks again, people. Was so knackered earlier I collapsed on my bed a couple of hours ago and was asleep before my head even hit the pillow. God knows how the wife must feel!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!
Yesterday I went to the first metal gig I've been to in over a year. Bunch of local bands from Fukuoka. Most of them were pretty cool, ranging from X-Japan worship to groovy Arch Enemy-esque death-thrash.
You haven't lived until you've seen the way little leftover gothic lolita-harajuku-lover girls dance at metal gigs. They all hold onto the front railing and headbang sideways and sometimes they appear to be clawing/picking fruit off invisible fruit trees in the air.

This is probably why Japan scared me when I was little.

Aw, no, they are adorable. They're all short and under 20. Not scary at all. The real scary ones are the gangster types who roll their "R" sounds when they get pissed off.

Somehow, I'm thinking this is something that needs to be seen to be understood.

Re: What has made you happy today
My university as of September, Roehampton, is epically awesome and has the biggest duck population of any university in the UK. Also, as a bloke I'm in the minority there by around 30% to 70%. It's all slotting together... I might even be getting a car soon!
Granted, it'll probably be nothing more than a Skoda Felicia, but it's different from your average supermini, not very many miles on the clock for its price, plus it should still be fun to hustle around with its lightweight frame, skinny tyres and pathetic engine and that in itself is good.

He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man.
Re: What has made you happy today
I drove my dads girlfriend's skoda felicia round his carpark quite a lot for a bit of practice and it was fun enough to drive. You really want something with power steering for that though and her's didn't have it.
