What made me happy this morning?
A lovely text message and the realisation that there's only 16 days left till Rich comes over for my birthday.

The doctor I saw yesterday was actually interested in what I had to say, instead of being too busy being irritated I'd been booked into the wrong clinic. He was really attentive and noted everything I said, asked lots of questions and was generally really helpful and reassuring.

Blood tests this morning and then back in a week for results. Thankfully, he's pretty sure it's not any of the nastier options the symptoms suggest such as Crohn's, so I'm relieved!

I'm also so relieved this has all kicked off since starting my new job. My old place would have made the constant run of doctor's/hospital appointments just as difficult as they possibly could, because they were horrible like that, whereas my new team leader's reaction to me being in late today was "At least you'll hopefully get some answers after the tests, no worries at all."

I love my new job and colleagues
