What has made you happy today
Re: What has made you happy today
These cans are great as I think I said in the WPMOT thread when they were on about gin. They're exactly the same as (not sure if you get many imports from Finland) these:
I had them when I was over there in 2007, ace drink.

Re: What has made you happy today
Good weekend working on the house this weekend.
Picked up the keys at 1:30 Friday, so went over with Anna and made a plan of action
and started some cleaning.
Saturday, started to strip the wallpaper from the lounge/dining room, mum cleaned the cooker and rest
of the kitchen whilst dad cleaned the guest bedroom carpet and all the windows.
Yesterday, bought wallpaper and paint from Wickes, nearly finished stripping all the wallpaper off, last lil bit to go which dad will do today.
Very productive weekend and I am now rather tired. Thankfully I finish work on Friday and not back 'til 14th!!!
Huzzah!!
Hopefully will find out this lunchtime what we need to do with the boiler as it's not been serviced in 5 years!!

Re: What has made you happy today
I went to bed around 2.30 last night, woke up what felt like every half hour, and then by 4.30 I just couldn't go back to sleep. So I had a little The Big Bang Theory marathon and eventually I fell asleep all snuggled up with Steve. For a Swe I'm unusually cuddly.

My provisional licence arriving after only sending off for it a few days ago. Now I can learn to drive! (Ahem, have ID when I send off evidence for my bursary.)
Re: What has made you happy today
About a week ago I realized that having a 5g teaspoon of sugar in every cup of tea and drinking like 7 or 8 cups of tea a day was causing me to consume quite alot of unnoticed refined sugar so I decided to wean myself off sweet tea. A week later I now feel quite happy drinking tea without any sugar in at all. It's not a massive thing but it's a victory over one of life's little battles.

Re: What has made you happy today
Boiler in the house is fine for 2-3 years!! Which is good news as that gives
us a nice little pot to play with and do some more intensive renovating.
Just means we'll need to save about £3,500+ over the next couple of years to eventually replace it
Milk and now no sugar.
As for strength? I will drink it as it comes, whether that's strong or weak.
I'm not a fussy bugger over tea.
Well only that it comes in a mug and not a cup.

I used to have sugar in my tea but when I started my current job I wasn't putting in any sugar at work. At home I was doing it out of habit. One day I noticed that there was hardly any difference in the taste. If anything I preferred the unsweetened tea and cut out the sugar straight away.
I also prefer red top milk to semi-skimmed or full cream.

Re: What has made you happy today
Difference in milk or sugar is something you very quickly get used to.
I can easily drink a sugarless coffee but I prefer sugar as it's just more satisfying. Though if I had no sugar all the time then within a week I'd be fully used to it. Same with milk preference.
