And being out in the garden this long weekend. I wish we'd started by taking 'before' pictures. Long, unruly grass, weeds in the borders, old scabby bark chippings mixed in with dust from the building site. All untouched since we moved in last September. Looked a complete state.

Bought a petrol mower on Friday, got the lawn done in record time, weeded all the borders, scraped off all the manky bark and actual LITTER dropped by folks, replanted some of the hedging, planted some new shrubs, jazzed up the joint with box plants in pots and re-covered the borders with new bark. It looks a million times better.
