Sams coming, Graeme's busy with his graaaandmaaaa, sadly. :P

Today was good, I had a relaxed job at a cocktail competition for Asahi beer. I got lots of free beer and food and even got to taste these amazing molecular cocktails that the contestants made. In fact the only work I did all day was moving around some truss and sorting people with radio mics. james from TOWIE was there as one of the judges and he was such a cock

Finding out that tomorrow afternoon there's going to be some 'heavy metal' in the skies above the Peak District in the form of 2x GR4s from 617sqn Lossiemouth, and the BBMF Lancaster from Scampton doing a 3x fly-over of the Ladybower Dam and down to Chatsworth afterwards.

No question needed, the camera is on charge and tomorrow morning i'll be heading to the hills a few miles away :D

After a few stressful days, my race suit issues look like they're finally sorted and I'm all set for the weekend.

Been nominated to be a Student Ambassador next year. It's nothing big, just a large group of us are showing the n00bs the ropes. But it seems fun and looks good on a CV, so I'm pretty pleased to have been considered. :D
If I like it, It's probably awful.

I can see the point in a maths iGCSE as it has a few extra (harder) topics and maths can be used all over the world as pretty much every country uses the same numbers system, but what's the point of an iGCSE for English?

Because interpretation of English literature and the study of the English language is pretty much as universal as the number system that's used worldwide, which covers English as a First Language. There's the iGCSE equivalent of EFL too.

But what's actually done differently in iGCSE?

The new guy we've got for a couple of months in work teaches ninjitsu and is going to let me know the next time he's giving a lesson.
I'll probably be nowhere near as fit as I was when I did karate many years ago, but it should be good fun!

From normal English GCSE to English iGCSE

Differences in how it's taught between the two are less relevant, what's important is the fact that the latter is understood, accepted and widely recognised around the world. So an employer or university from overseas can see that certification and be assured of the level of competence in that topic. An employer or university in say, Germany, might not have an understanding of how an English GCSE compares to whatever Germans study whilst at Gymnasium, but they'd have a better idea of how an iGCSE compares.
