Got offered a job interview. I didn't want a real job, but it looks like I'm really going to enjoy this one and it should be flexible enough to work around my other projects. Also getting very excited about playing Bloodstock in four days, and being able to hang out with my friends all weekend! I managed to start practicing some bass again today, something I've not found time to do properly in a few months!
Feels good to be getting back on my feet, being lazy and mopey is addictive, but so is being productive! After a week of lying around feeling crappy, I'm finally back in the saddle and feeling even more fiercely determined.

Re: What has made you happy today
Got up to watch the Mars Curiosity landing, went back to sleep for a few hours. Had a double decker for breakfast. Dandered into Greenwich town with the ex/best friend (nowhere near as busy as you'd think- about as bad as Belfast on a saturday afternoon), looked about the market, got some long overdue braces for my suit britches and a lovely mechanical owl pocketwatch to put away for my mum's birthday, had a pint in the Gipsy Moth and then a savaloy for lunch, browsed records and the ex bought me some Dead Kennedys, David Bowie and Blood Feast stuff as a late birthday present, looked about a few more junk/vintage/charity shops and got an old Kilkenny light-up bartop lamp/sign thingy (no idea what they're actually called but you know those old school painted tin/glass shade things that used to be attached to the front of beer taps), then had another pint while watching the lady's boxing, then went for a fuck off gourmet burger for dinner then home. Lovely day and it's only the first proper day of my holiday!

Definitely this!
Looking at some peoples lists of what they are taking you would think they were going to the Amazon rainforest for six months.
I'm doing so many festivals these days that luxury camping is becoming increasingly important.
If it sounds good, listen to it

Spent a few hours working out King Diamond songs on guitar. Pretty pointless, but good fun

See I look like I'm travelling reasonably light at the moment. When I come back from Boots today with all the various heat pads and med stuff, that'll change dramatically
WHMMHT: Chronic Illness Cat. Quite literally the best community on Tumblr. Without going into details I'm having a rough time with my consultant and I had no less than 6 really supportive messages full of advice from people I don't know last night.
It's awesome to know there are people to turn to when you've no idea what to do or where to turn next

Re: What has made you happy today
It took me nearly a week to get UCD (my old University) to send me a letter saying I went there last year, and they're finally doing it!
I need the letter to send off with my maintenance grant application form. So by doing this I should get it this year. Happy potato is happy.

Re: What has made you happy today
For some reason I cant quite pinpoint, I have been in a good mood all day. After weeks of shit, things have finally settled into a situation where I can just be left to crack on with things and with the impending redundancy dates in the near future possibly seeing me having to head into the real world for a bit, I have been considering going backpacking for a few months to see a bit of the world and maybe use some heavy weaponry in Cambodia.

Re: What has made you happy today
Started packing for Bloodstock 5 mins ago, finished already bag is heavy as fuck already without sticking my tent on it but hopefully there will be pretty much no cue like last year. Why does a sleeping bag have to take up so much room in your bag
