Far from the truth actually. We're all rock and metallers, but a lot of people seem to like that industrial cyber-death metal shit, dunno why. After 4 years with them, headlining their live music nights and generally being metal, I have the informed opinion that your friend is talking a massive hairy sack of balls. It became generically alternative because some twat thought that 'Rock soc' or whatever was too exclusive.
