Currently 28 degrees in my room, perhaps I should open a window...lol jk I'll spare my neighbours further torture :P

If it's a button accordion, you're excused :P

Actually yes it is, but not the cool full size one (got nothing to complain about, as it formally belonged to my grandmother before she passed). I've forgotten the proper name for it. Kinda looks a bit like this:

Ah, the humble melodeon. (I actually know the name of the maker of that one... the company's not called 'Popular').

Yeah, takes practise to play them

Buying a bar of chocolate to stash for emergencies was an amazing idea. :D

It'd be nice to have the time for it. Between 8.5hrs in the office, 1.5 hours on the road and 3 hours trying to practice my drums while actually trolling the internet each work day there really isn't much time for a great deal else. It's been absolutely months since I've taken them out.

I still haven't really got to grips with the 3 row I've borrowing for a couple of months. It's a bugger trying to play the bass notes. It's an Irish style layout with in the keys of B/C/C#, and the bass notes are a bit awkward to remember, especially when you're trying to play songs in the key of G, where I have to remember to cross from the C row to the B row.

I can play a chromatic scale too, if I really think about it. What keys is your squeezebox in?

Well it starts on F below middle C and ends on the 3rd G above it. I'm generally there all day trying to get a cromatic scale down correctly. Doesn't help when some of the notes don't exist on the thing. It gets awefully difficult towards the higher notes

Generally I think it's the push note at the centre of the row that indicates the key. Well, the only button you can start a scale on. Do that for both and that gives you the key for each row. My guess is that it'll be G/D, C/F or C/A. Either way, there should be accidental notes at either end of the rows. They may not be the octave you want, but they should be there nonetheless

C it is. Some notes double up and others get skipped over. Damned illogical instruments.
