How the fuck!?

Are you that desperate to succeed that you'll give any band a good review, even one as awful Ensiferum? :P Because if that's the case, I'll send you my album

You've already sent me it ;)

Read the actual review and you'll find out I've been off them for years until now! Some of the comments on the FB page have made me lol.

They bugged me a little because most people expect reviewers to be objective when writing a review. Which isn't possible. But still, well done! Keep it up!

Actually you've reminded me to eventually getting around to setting up a Wordpress thing..

Attempting to be an objective critic is a complete waste of time, any review anyone ever does is soaked with perspective and personal taste. And to be honest, it reeks a little of wanting to please everybody.

imho, of course ;)

Yeah pretty impressive for someone who uses words like 'bumsmoke' and 'clusterfuck'.

You haven't got the worst music taste in the world so I'll take that score as a good thing.

My thinking is that anyone can say "oh, it's not very good" or what have you, but I find colourful expressions make the world a happier place!

Yeah, I don't for a minute suggest that you're not capable of writing differently. Just I prefer my journalism a little more graceful in its choice of language.

One thing I will say, am I reading right that you hated Victory Songs, but gave it a 7?

7.5, it seems. I just found the old review. Something must have happened soon after that put me off! Weird, because I'm not keen on it at all now. What a delicate flower I am.

Spoke to Paul and Ruth at Bloodstock HQ today about a late application for a pass for the disabled car park (having broken my foot last week). In all my years of dealing with companies or organisations, I have never received such good help, and service.

Bloodstock, I take my hat off to you!

So, I've got this weekend (actually, Thurs-Sun) off and I'm not going to Bloodstock..
Just as well, really. Because it seems I'll be moving into the flat :D
References came back all good and we pick up the keys on Thursday!
