Payday. Which enabled me to have a nice greasy breakfast, order a shedload of stuff off Amazon, and possibly investigate the "Metal Night" at the pub down the road.

Also, my line manager just wandered in to have a word about the comments I left on my annual report. Apparently "Look, just give me the bastard bonus. I deserve it." is not quite enough.

Lovely sunny day, got paid today, paid back my debts, bought Noise Gate for my guitar, party later - chance to get absolutely slaughtered :)

I don't think I've ever seen a German restaurant in the UK.

As Harry Hill might put it: German Restaurants - MORE OF THEM PLEASE!

This one is the only one I know of, or that ive ever seen. Its really expensive, but I take the view I can either spend £12 on a jagerschnitzel and a coke in there, or I can get a ryanair flight to Frankfurt Hahn, £40-60, train to Weinheim (20 euros) and somehow find my way to the saloon restaurant on a massive fucking hill (pain and agony).

Went to town and it's only going to cost £12 to re-heel and re-sole and pretty much reconstruct my favourite boots as opposed to £40 for a new pair. And then I found the prettiest dress in the world in Polly, which my parents may buy for me \o/ and then asked the cd shop guy where he got the really nice Opeth poster he has and he said "oh, you can have it. it's out of date now." Wiiiin. Also bought Bloodbath CD/DVD which should be fun.

Can I come round to yours for dinner sometime? You make some awesome sounding food!

It would be a long way to travel for something that your local Thai restaurant could do a lot better. You could probably get three courses and quite a few drinks for the ammount the train fare would cost too.

I live in Gloucester, a place where Subway is upmarket. There is no local Thai restaurant :(
2017 Gigs (here so I remember to go)

According to Yell.com, Gloucester has three Thai places...

Taste of Thai - 117-119 Southgate St, Gloucester, Gloucestershire GL1 1UT
The Blue Thai Kitchen - 19 St. Aldate St, Gloucester, Gloucestershire GL1 1RP
Bangkok in UK - 5 Park Rd, Gloucester, Gloucestershire GL1 1LH

...plus some place called "Vinings" at The Docks, which does a Thai/Indian buffet, although if it was me, I'd stick with the first three I mentioned - buffet places often do very average food and you can usually get a pretty reasonable meal for the same price as the buffet at a table service restaurant. I'd rather have a normal sized meal rather than spending the same ammount gorging myself on all you can eat.

I was surprised by the number of Thai places in Nottingham when I did my research, I only knew of one, but it turns out we've got five (plus one in Beeston).

I was in town this morning and looking round the charity shops. I only had 3 quid on me and I came across the T-shirts section. To my amazement they had a RAMONES T-shirt in my size lol, I was thinking to myself (for god sake please let it be less than 3 quid and please let it be a medium), it was both and needless to say I grabbed it instantly and bought it lol.
Ive been looking for a RAMONES T-shirt for ages but ive never got round to buying one as ive never had the cash, thats cheered me up pretty good today. :)

At least one of those is no longer open - i remember the one in Aldate Street and its been closed for over a year and Park Road isn't even in Gloucester its about half an hour away! - stupid Yell.com. My mate went to the buffet place and said it was awful but she also said it was more chinese food than Thai.

As for the other one - I may have to investigate one day but Gloucester being Gloucester I don't expect much!
