That stuff is great if I'm MOC'ing but sometimes I will buy a set for the purpose of building that specific model. Usually it's limited edition stuff like the Delorean and Minecraft sets, or great big models the massive Sea Cow that I just posted!

Fully agree. There are far too many specialist pieces in modern Lego sets.

Passing the local charity shop this morning I caught sight of a HERALD HL.34 acoustic in the window display just screaming out for someone to buy it. Seeing as my old (restored) KANSAS acoustic is nackered due to age and play, and seeing that the HL.34 was a bargain at only £20, it was snapped up straight away and now in my safe possession :yes:
