Momentarily read that as £40k and thought "you utter shit".

WMMHT: Finally got a proper payrise. Effective of Tuesday gone, even though my new role won't start until mid-October at least. It's not an amazing amount and my next pay review won't be until that time next year but it's fair given that I have to prove myself first. Even better, after a coupla months my CV will look boss and it'll be easier to escape for good. Unless I get comfortable again.

A weekend of doing nothing. Apply for some jobs tomorrow. Play some xbockz. Cans, spotify. Simple things!

Not today, but yesterday, I ordered a OnePlus 2 to replace my aging Xperia. A co-worker got an invite to buy one, but he only just got a OnePlus 1 a couple of months ago, so he let me order one instead.

My EE contract runs out in October, and since they're likely gonna be owned by BT shortly, I'ma get a Vodaphone SIM-only deal for ~£15 less than I'm currently paying EE, but with more data allowance.

Phone cost £300, but it's infinitely better than my current phone, and the savings'll pay off in two years.

I like those weekends more than I've realised. Sadly (well, I say that word liberally), this weekend won't be one of them. But it's nice to always be invited to stuff. Maybe next weekend I'll show some real willpower and go nope, this weekend's a weekend in knuckling down to some reading, songwriting and film-watching.

I had an expensive weekend last weekend with the £60 headset I bought for gaming, and the weekend on the whole so I can claw back some shit there. There is a food festival in Leamington tomorrow but I am not sure I can be fucked to go down there. They do pierogi which is a major draw generally speaking but I might just say fuck it and have a KFC or go to the German restaurant for a Schnitzel.

Started buying parts for a computer I will be erecting. Typical me the case I bought is lime green with green led fans. Now just another 20 pieces and I might be able to turn it on.

Also making beer today. First of 2015. Finally being arsed to do stuff for myself is great.

Right now some poor sap is probably having his packed lunch at work with a sandwich containing one piddly slice of meat. I just wrecked down on two sambos with a full pack of ham in each.

Played poker, came first. £85 towards my PC building. I don't win shit like this so I am fucking ecstatic right now.

WPMOT: Earning more with a beer in my hand for 3 hours work than I did on a 340 mile/9 hour day round trip at work on Friday.

What you gonna put in it? An i7 and SLI Titans right?

WMMH(TechnicallyYesterday): Brother called me with a voice like he was gonna tell me something horrible, but instead just wants me to kip round his next friday night so I can look after the dog Saturday morning. It's gonna be such a horrible task hanging out with his adorable german sheppard for half the day :P

Yeah had one for 6 years or more. Same as my xbox live name.

Not so sure on spec. Actually worrying myself more with the power supply. Expert on youtube suggests 650 watt. Mate suggests 850 watt.

I'd say go 850 simply to save yourself the hassle in future of "Shit I need to upgrade my PSU" which is the hassle I'm gonna have next time I upgrade cos I'm only at like 450 or something, which is why I'm holding off. Plus I need to get a new motherboard to support a different type of CPU and it's a gonna be a massive fucking hassle and that's a whole different thing.

So yeah, I'd say 850 but I know fuck all about computers.

I promise you know more about them than I do. I can assemble them but I am relying heavily on the internet to translate the jargon and the last thing I need is a bunch of shit that doesn't communicate with each other. Part of the reason I want to do one is because I want to learn a bunch of shit in doing so. It's also green did I mention that? I can't buy that from PC world.
