Knowing I could fly from Bristol to Inverness for as little as £45. Go see the Highlands, innit.

I'm in a pretty chipper mood at the moment, have been all day. Fuck knows what's wrong with me. It's probably terminal.

Had a quick nostalgic flick through old festival pics and noticing the amount of people who've since cut their hair. It's well past that point that it's weird to see them with the hair.

Fuck doing the same with old Facebook statuses though. Enough self-cringe to keep me going for a while.

It's quite amusing how I check the 'on this day' thing regularly and laugh at things i posted, weirdly because it's basically the exact same stuff my little sister posts pretty much these days.
I can only really find my own posts funny circa 2010 onwards though, before then it's just self pity and passive aggressive one-sentence mini rants. 8)

I am trying not to look at that on this day bullshit, I just read my own posts and just think cunt. I guess that's what everyone else has to go through. I'm sorry about that.

All of my shit is an absolute cringefest.

Though nothing wakes you up in the morning more than a cheeky bit of self loathing

Finished a mammoth 3 day baking session. 6 large Christmas Cakes baked and "fed" with additional rum, leaving a full 3 months to mature and have a couple of further "feeds" before Christmas

Also managed to fit in a chocolate cake, to take to work tomorrow. Choccy cake always makes working Sunday a little more bearable for my team.

I properly under estimated the distance between Lapworth - Stratford Upon Avon. I looked at a map briefly yesterday and the know-it-all I am, said that's ten miles/16km. Piece of piss. No. No it wasn't 10 miles pffft. Well anyway I stuck with it for the additional 3.5 miles (just over 5km) or an hour as its generally known as and that was added on top of what I had walked to Solihull railway station. I have walked 17 fucking miles today, or 29 in French.

I feel good.

I had a really good Saturday playing in 'toon. Except the drive from Newcastle back to Sheffield (with 50mph limit zones) which was almost like this.

I'd like to see more of Newcastle proper though, so I can form a proper opinion on it. Got some nice architecture and ye olde buildyngs and stuff. Wanna see more of the general ambiance and character of the place.

My little brother's just gone to uni in Newcastle. He told me that he only wanted to go there because there was a chance he'd get to be on "Geordie Shore", whatever that is.

I'd give it a wide berth.

I would like to visit in my leisure time, I have been about 5 times this year and hated every time. Takes too long, and its fucking boring going up, and tiring coming back.

When I get handed the job, "Oh Newcastle, Staffordshire!" "You wish Andy."

I do wish...

Girlfriend coming down for the weekend and the weather finally getting a bit more miserable. Sick of this sun malarky now.

Also started a new role at work which requires me to relearn a bunch of sql. I'd forgotten how fun (and completely annoying) coding is.
