Absolutely this. WMMHT is booking a load of solo travel (albeit staying in, gulp, hostels and shit so should hopefully meet a few new people) around Europe during my time off in February. Life feels pretty bleak in Leeds at the moment - can't fucking wait.

I need a proper getaway like that some point. Hell, even just a week somewhere warm and y'know, not a festival would be ace.

Been accepted into the university I wanted for my masters degree. Shame I didn't get my shit together earlier so I could have started already - October feels like miles off.

New passport arrived, so travelling is definitely on! Woke up Friday morning feeling the safest, happiest and contented that I've been for a long, long time.

So we got a new kitten on Tuesday. Resident cat was expectedly very upset and was growling/hissing/batting at me and my girlfriend. Fast-forward to yesterday and, thanks to a slow introduction, exchanging of scents, and feeding on opposite sides of a door, they are now peacefully co-habiting (with a few tiny hisses here and there).

Four days! We were expecting four weeks. Thank goodness Mimi is a food motivated cat.

Only just got home from HRH Metal and then seeing some family, still very keen on my new guitar so I'm pleased to come home to it:

I've yet to play a guitar with an Evertune bridge. Wanna see what the fuss is about. Mate's having one put in his custom axe so I might get to piss about with it when it's done, though luthier is taking his time (same bloke who modded Jari from Wintersun's axes with them, incidentally).
