It's great because I haven't got much of a regional accent, therefore I can legitimately insult other people's accents.

Steve's is awesome though. But down south, if it was supposed to be pronounced 'barth', it would have been spelt as such.

Wait, didn't we just do the whole accents thread thing like, 5 times last month?

Shush, we might have to discuss something new if we point that out. :eyes:

You mean, we're repeating a subject of discussion on the BOA forum?

Same here as Will said, I don't have much of a regional accent, I mean there's a couple of Nottinghamisms as such in that I often skip over the pronunciation of "t"s but that's about it really. The best accent is no accent in my opinion, and that includes not having a southener "barth" accent

Fixed? That sounds like something Harry Enfield's "Stavros" character would come out with!

I'm a Southerner and proud of it :D It's pronounced barth and always will be. We used to laugh at my mum saying baff when we were kids coz she was born in Derbyshire.

I've had a few people over the years ask where my accent is from. It's a mixture of Norfolk Broads made less strong when I moved to the Fens but never sounded proper I drive my traaaaaaacter. Then moved to Brum for uni and picked that up. Used to head straight to the Norfolk Broads during the holidays to get rid of the Brummyness because all the customers in the pub where I worked in Ely took the piss out of me otherwise. Now I guess it's a bit of Derbyshire thrown in. When I visit friends in Norfolk, or speak to them on the phone that comes back more.

When I worked at Eddies in Brum, along with a couple of others from Cambridgeshire someone once moaned to Colin the manager that his staff sounded too posh!
I don't suffer from insanity, I'm quite happy with it

Yeah, things arent 100% awesome at the moment, and the added stress of relying on my very unreliable father for transport isn't much fun.
Forgive me for being a dumbass, I know fuck all about cars and insurance, i've only just started looking into it all. Does putting my dad on my insurance affect my no claims bonus? That doesn't make much sense to me, adding someone on to the car as an infrequent driver... I thought then it would be more?
