FFS if you want to film a gig, become a professional photographer and get in front of the barrier. If you want to prove that you were at the gig, buy a T shirt. Otherwise, enjoy the gig and let others do the same.

Rant over :(

This is why I've kinda stopped taking my camera to gigs for the most part. If it's a big enough gig, someone else will be filming it on theirs. My main motive behind doing so though would be to spread the good word. Sometimes I'll even go to the lengths of asking the band (if I know them) if they feel the footage reflects them in a good light and then take it down if they don't.

Went round to my mates last night for a few beers and that. Turned into a few beers and watch them browse the internet on their phones/tablets.

One of them even said "you know.. you could do the same, you've got a smartphone" so I politely told them that if I wanted to browse the internet all night I'd have stayed at home and saved the hours walk. Didn't get the message, so I went home.

It's downright rude and it's a common occurance. Too busy chatting to other folks on facebook whilst ignoring the people in front of them. Tbqh I'm sick of it. The art of conversation is seemingly dying.

Went to see my Grandmother today, first time in a while. We'd tried calling her but couldn't get through, assumed she was on the phone to someone else. We turn up - nice surprise for her, all is good. Tried the phone - couldn't dial out. Tried calling it again, couldn't connect.

Turns out BT has disconnected the number because my uncle had been forgetting to pay the bill, and it hadn't occurred to him to ask her why she hadn't passed him any of them since January. BT were pretty good and got it sorted out there and then - took payment off me and the line was hooked up an hour later, but still... that phone line is connected to the emergency call pendent she has in case she falls over and can't get up. She can't get out and about, and it's the main interaction she has with the outside world. They've known the emergency dialler wasn't working for a week, but hadn't thought to mention it to any of us, or try contacting anyone to sort it out. *angryface*

I have a nauseous headache coming on. I hate the word 'suck' but these really do. Just downed the last two ibuprofen I have so hopefully they'll do the trick.

Also my street has single yellow lines that are enforced Mon-Fri. Brum Council's official line is that they enforce them on Bank Holidays, though they didn't seem to on Good Friday or Easter Monday. I don't want to take that chance so can either move the car into a side road tonight and have a lie-in or get up at half seven in the morning to move it then and have the whole day free.

Itunes being a bumder. I've been waiting for about 35 minutes so far whilst it imports my library. I'm assuming something went wrong which is why it's importing the xml file thingy.

I can nly assume the time it's taking is directly proportional to the size of my music library.

THE WORD 'BUMBDER' IS SPREADING!

This is a minor victory for English.
