On a massive red bull rush last night, so when I arrived back home I could not fall asleep... then had to wake up after 4 hours so I could move the car out of everybodies way. Blargh.

Which way home did you go? Because we were parked by the press exit right at the front of the car park we were able to slip out of there without getting caught in any queues at all and were home by like half 11 8)
I used to have a link to a social networking site here but these days you all probably already know who I am.

I went past that exit, the way I normally come in. Decided that if there was a queue, it woule better to sit in it and know where I was going rather than get lost. We got home about 2.30 - I had to stop a couple of times on the way back.

Found out who wrecked my car. Can't do anything about it for fear of reprisals. Welcome to rural England, where drugs gangs rule the streets.

My dad forgot about my procedure tomorrow (sedation, he needs to pick me up.) and is now trying to make me feel bad about it (yes father of mine, because I have cameras stuck down my throat for fun!) because he's having to cancel his roadbike training to come and get me and basically said "why didn't you put it on the calendar then?"

Maybe because you've asked me the date innumerable times and I would have thought your daughter being in hospital might be important enough to remember? :(

Implying any male can remember any important date at any point without it being written down multiple times.

Managed to not get bitten all festival, come home and I've got bitten on the back of my leg - it's swollen up and really painful :-(

Also, I've slipped back into 'normal life' far more quickly than normal.

Pointed out to someone they had a flat tyre on way out of car-park. Changed said tyre for them. Got very little in the way of thanks.

Dont get me wrong, she wasnt UNgreatful.... and she was prob just tired and/or stressed.... but i would would have been falling over myself to thank someone if the roles were reversed, and the couple of 'oh thanks, i appreciate it' i got for trying to be a nice guy felt a little forced.

Im prob being overly sensitive due to lack of sleep myself actually.

Tired or not that's just outright rude. I had a flat battery at Wacken '09 and after trekking round to find someone with a jump lead and someone else to supply the jump I was pretty annoyed and tired as well. But made sure I thanked those who helped.
