I fucking hate journalists too.
Hardly a vaguely intelligent or unusual word, but The Sun writers need to find a new synonym for "telling off", as seeing "rap" in every single headline got old years ago.
It gets tiresome when journalists of any kind, be it political, music, gaming, whatever attempts to show off their vocabulary, intelligence and grasp of the English language by using 'posh' words in their writing or reviews. It's a form of snobbery that I've never understood the purpose of. As I see it, the fewer people that understand you, the worse you're doing your job as a journalist. Mind you, Smash Hits kept to a primary school literacy standard and looked where it got them. Interestingly, The Sun still goes strong... Both were/are in the same league of journalism with all the research and passion that goes/went with it.
