The excessive amount of "news" time spent on covering the sob story of someone's personal life just because he used to be really quick at swimming long distances. It was the first indication that I needed to clear my breakfast crockery in the morning, but then it was all over the radio at work and again in the evening.
In case you're wondering why I watch the morning news, it's because it's way easier to eat my breakfast with two hands while I get an update on what's actually important to me. This includes:
- Will it rain today?
- Should I bring a coat?
- Is it safe to go outside?
- Is it safe for my family/friends (abroad) to go outside?
- How many Euros/Pounds will I get back if I buy today?
After that I can get pretty postal at the telly
