That's actually bollocks, despite what the signs claim. A Sainsbury's cashmachine swallowed my card en route to Bloodstock this year. I asked customer services anyway, and they went in and retrieved my card for me.

Depends on the place. I don't work at Sainsburys but where I work there's only one ATM and it's owned by Co-Op, they refill it and remove any cards that have been swallowed to destroy, we don't have access to it at all. They don't even tell us when they're coming to refill it as they do it irregularly for "security reasons".

Not bollocks, but depends really who's in at what time. People on checkouts where Mike works do not have access to these machines, however on my department when I worked there we may have done and only myself being the team leader and my manager. They keep the money takers (the tills) away from the money managers (myself and my manager) to stop 'fiddling' of money - I wasn't allowed on tills for this reason, so yeah it worked both ways. However my department didn't often work beyond about 5pm, so at 8pm Mike would not have had access to these ATMs.

Yeah, believe it or not there are people that drive around monitoring these vans and have been known to draw up plans of heisting them at points in their journey where they are most vulnerable i.e. outside town centres. I have heard of cases where people have been held at gun point because they followed the same routines, routes and timetables. I don't understand why cash handlers drive around in marked vans, shit a cash van without the companys name written on the side would make greater sense to me, but that's life.

Cash in transit vans are normally monitored by helicopters and followed by armed police around here. May seem a bit of overkill, but armed robberies are virtually non existent.

Well you'd have to be a bit soft in the head to heist a van with police escort and helicopters on it, just saying.

Our cash handlers had no such thing. A GPRS tracker fitted, but little else. It happens mark my words. ;)

At least a dozen snotty kids running around outside the house, kicking balls around and chucking space hoppers at each other.*

I really hate kids.

* Part of me thinks "At least they're outside and not cooped up indoors on their phones all day". But I dream of a perfect world where children come with mute buttons.

Caught the scar where one of my extra fingers was earlier on the corner of the (250kg+) coffee cart when I was maneuvering it backwards, I don't know why it hurts so much when I bang it - but I've been pissed off since. It's left a little lump... and it hurts. And yeah, I know, I'm a bitch.

That's not actually bollocks. Sainsburys have some stores with store maintained ATMs which they can go into, most are carrier maintained and we don't have access to those ones at all. Sainsburys policy is cards found inside are destroyed, so I would consider yourself lucky you got yours back.

Edit: Basically what turbo has said. Even if we could get into them, I would be unable to. But in our store we really have no access. Same thing with coinstar, photo booth, post box etc. We also don't monitor the car park. These are all things owned and maintained by other companies.

Leg was sort of alright yesterday in that I didn't really feel it hurting unless I pressed on the actual bit I fell on. Today walking and even just sitting hurts. Ffs.

Got massive cramp in my leg on Wednesday morning at like 4am and it still kinda hurts.

Now I'm worried I'm just gonna ignore it and one day I collapse and they're all "Yeah man you got necrosis" and they have to take the leg.

Being victimised at work for the past 4 months at least. I know people say this all the time, but my bosses have been trying and trying to pick at reasons to get rid of me, and I have been trying my fucking hardest to not give them a reason. But the pressure is really getting to me and its making me really paranoid that everyday I'm going to get THAT talk from the bosses.

And the thing that gets to me most is the two faced-ness of them (I dunno if that's even a word lol). I always get told by my colleagues that they are talking about me and how they are going to be disciplining me.

Feel useless. Went through the pain in the arse of signing in here (my account is still broken) because I find it difficult to talk to people about my own problems. Can't even manage to write them on here.

Have you got a union? If so go to them and have a chat. Unions love taking bosses down a peg or two.

Unfortunately not :( I'm a cleaner with Sodexo for the army and the idea of talking to someone above my boss is not appealing because I just know it will come back to bite me on the arse lol
