Have you people never heard of work placements?

Its basically voluntary slave labour but it will get you the experience that you need!

People need money to survive so voluntary work isn't much help if you need a job.

im sure DragonMaiden can clear this up better than me but the work placements i think you are refering to are when you get a job through the benifits agency that gives you your benifits +10/20 quid extra a week for a alloted amount of time then the company must either take you on or let you go so you can start the process all over again somewhere else.

its how i got back into work after a number of years unemployed, i was lucky and kept on by the first employer i was give a placement with but do know people who have been bounced from place to place for ages.

I must admit I haven't stepped foot in a job centre for about 5 years, but last time I went there I saw little in the way of 'professional' jobs. Mostly labour/admin/retail jobs, so I guess it depends on what kind of job/career you're looking for?

My JSA being stopped because i havent paid enough national insurance contributions, wat a load of rubbish, i've paid 19 years straight and now this gotta apply for something called hardship payments but i mightnt get them for 26 weeks....how the hell am i supposed to pay my bills?? or even eat plus im fuckin diabetic as well, so if i end up in a diabetic coma its their fault.

They only base it on the last full tax year. Get them to review it though, they stopped mine for a month because apparently I hadn't had a good enough reason to leave me last job (I moved to a different country, I think that's quite a good reason), I asked them to review it and I just got a back payment of £232.

Anyway, what's pissed me off today is this shit weather, every time I make a move to go out it starts pissing it down again

Pissed off today cause I spent the whole day dealing with anxiety over someone saying there was a disaster related to some of my software. Six hours I waited... until finally I got told the details of the problem and it was already something that I had fixed!
