Speak for yourself. I'm the life and soul of the party but constantly get the six worst words in the English lexicon said to me - those of course being "you're such a nice guy, but..."

Anyway, I'm pissed off with pretty much the entire course my life is taking with seemingly no way to get things back on track. I'm pig sick of trying to help myself, getting doors slammed in my face and ending up in a worse position than I was before. I'm getting grumpier and more short tempered by the day... and quite frankly I hope the bitch at the jobcentre who stitched me up like a kipper and hung me out to dry gets cancer*

Since I'd been struggling to get back into employment after losing my last job I'd decided to do an Access course and hopefully go to uni next year but now there's not a hope in hell I can afford that... and apparently I don't meet the "exceptional standards" required for xmas jobs in the likes of Comet, Dixons, HMV etc and orange bimbos who can't even find the right place to put their name in on the pre-interview tests at the recruitment day are obviously much more suited to flogging coach tickets for National Express than me...

*Lisa this isn't an attack on you or your workmates, it's a personal thing against one particular bitch who, seemingly intentionally, gave me bad advice then lied about having giving me said advice leading to a "your word against mine" scenario where even the CAB said I was in a no-win situation.

You're not one of these humourless women that find that everything that men say to them is in some way trying to put down the whole of woman kind are you, because for the record i work in the aviation industry , with a lot of female engineers , who are more than capable of working with any of the guys on the shop floor

Just because I didn't add smiley faces at the end didn't mean I was being sarcastic. It was actually a bit amusing, sorry for confusion.

Apparently I dont have enough RAM to play WotLK without it being all slow and crap.

Well bollocks to that, I need to avoid my family somehow.

Unless your computer is maxed out on RAM, you can always get some more.
It's not THAT expensive and as well as being able to play WotLK, other stuff will run faster too.
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

oh it'll play, I have the minimum RAM requirements, just not the recommended.

And I have absolutely no idea how to go about adding stuff to my laptop to make it faster, I'd end up breaking it

While trying to change anything else inside your laptop might have a high risk of disasterous results, adding Ram is usually pretty simple. There will probably be a hatch on the bottom for easy access to the RAM chips. It's usually just a matter of turning the machine off, opening the hatch, putting the RAM in the relevant slot, closing the hatch and turning it on again.

As long as you use the appropriate screwdriver and an anti-static wristband (which will probably be provided with the memory chip), there's not that much that can go wrong.

The only pisser is that the laptop manufacturers will often put the original RAM on two seperate chips, and only give you two RAM slots, meaning you have to take out some of the existing memory to add new memory. You might, for example, already have 512MB installed as two 256MB chips, meaning that if you buy an additional 512MB chip, you'll have to take out one of the 256MB chips to install it - so your memory will go up to 768MB rather than 1024MB. If you wanted the full 1024, you might need to buy TWO 512MB chips - one to replace each 256MB chip. For this reason it's a good idea to check how many chips/slots you have under the hatch BEFORE ordering more memory.
