My Mum is bored and has been ringing me up every 10 mins with Wedding ideas. I appreciate that she is trying to be helpful but she goes all MotherZilla when I don't love her ideas (which is actually quite alot as we have very different tastes).

She is currently boring me with details of who cannot sit with who (she'll have a bit of a shock when she realises that half the people she is mentioning are distant relatives who I haven't seen for years and hence will not be getting an invite).

Similar thing for me, I've got a four hour philosophy exam to write an essay I could comfortably finish in half that time.

Why not read through the paper a few times and then leave?

From what I remember at uni providing it wasn't in the first 30 mins or the last 30mins you were free to leave. Annoyingly I only ever seemed to finish with 25 mins left (so was made to sit there and try and stare out the 'exam watcher person'.

I'm still in college so I don't know the workings of uni, but being able to leave an exam after half an hour seems like a very strange way of doing things.

At uni things are slightly less strict than at school/college. There's no word count on exams (although you're supposed to aim for 1500 words I believe) and you can leave after half an hour of the exam has finished, but not during the last half an hour of the exam.

But then again, at college exams we were always allowed to leave after 45 minutes - 1 hour

and wpmo currently is that I haven't eaten a damn thing in 24 hours, and I can't even stomach the thought of eating a digestive biscuit
