What pissed you off today

Choosing a wedding date to suit my family and having it end up being on the weekend when loads of people we're inviting will all have ONE better thing to be doing is turning into a really fucking stupid idea.

My dads is alright considering his age, my brothers is dodgy, and mine is the worst of the lot.

"Alan (my stepfather) has a Railway club convention that weekend"

YES, precisely. It was more "It's Uncle Tony's birthday in July, my birthday in June, three graduations in July, September's when everyone's kids go back to school, so you have to have the wedding in August." All the weekends in August 2011 (this was back in December 2009) were taken apart from our date. It's likely we're sacrificing about a sixth of the people we plan to invite because they're ALL going to be somewhere else that weekend. True that if they were proper friends, they would choose the wedding over anything else, but I know that to a lot of them it simply won't matter, and we'll be left with a lot of empty spaces.

I'm so upset. I fucking hate this monthly misery-fest. /being-a-woman-rant
