I have no meat at home. I could well murder some chicken right now, instead I have to make do with egg and chips :(

The distinctly bloody taste which is filling my mouth every time I cough. Oh alcohol why do you betray my ability to realise how cold it is outside in a shirt.
I used to have a link to a social networking site here but these days you all probably already know who I am.

I dont think my request for unpaid time off for a short three day trip to Poland will be authorised. My manager is having one of her funny moments again.

Wait until she hears about the three month unpaid time off that ill be requesting as soon as im signed off as a team leader. Shit will most certainly go down.

My mum starting a massive arguement with me earlier today because I came in the kitchen when she was trying to clean.

I know I should stop watching it, but I had a chance to tune into the results show of the X Factor, and saw Katie fucking Waissel in the bottom two, again. She messed up her sing-off song, forgot the words, said 'sod it' and sat on the floor of the stage, just picking random notes. The other girl nailed her song (pretty much), yet the judges still saved Katie.

If it was their idea to up the ratings by creating this drama, it's not worked. Such a stupid show, haven't been bothered with it for weeks, certainly not bothered now.

Felt kinda 'existential' (for lack of a better word) visiting my old student home of Leeds. I do miss the craic but not a certain vibe that the city seems to have. Maybe it was just my mood, not getting to catch up properly with old chums or the fact that less seems to be open on a Sunday than it used to be.

Also after Damnation I stayed round a mate's house and this morning we were walking onto this road where this policeman was patrolling and said mate changed his mind about his route to work and turned round and walked the other way down the road. When we got round the corner the policeman, a short young asian lad stopped us and asked why we turned around (supposedly on sight of him). Mate explained why and he believed we weren't criminals but told us not to do it again because in that high-crime area, they're led to believe that if someone with a backpack sees a policeman then walks the other way, it's reasonable to believe they're a burglar who's gonna peg it when they pass the corner. He seemed to mumble matter-of-factly under his breath that we were racists, or so we thought we heard. He was lacking a certain coherency and emotional detachment you'd expect for a police officer. He was just doing his job by having a word with us and I appreciate discretion but if he was bringing up something about race then it seemed a tad inappropriate and antagonistic.
