What pissed you off today
Re: What pissed you off today
Tempted to spend some money on a room in a local hotel or something - just for a night or two. I could really need some time away from home and work. Problem is I don't really want to be there on my own, because being on your own is boring - being bored triggers thoughts you don't really want going around in your mind. Yayness.

accidentally throwing twice as much bittering hops than was necessary into my homebrew earlier. Also my partner in this zine project is one lazy fella.

May be about to win a pair of David & Goliath pyjamas that I forgot that I bid on, after telling myself I won't spend any money for a while...
Edit: Just as I posted that, someone outbid me
I may have also just spent the last 2 hours playing tetris...badly

Speaking from experience, yes. Except it wasn't to get time off, and it's more of an "eugh" feeling than dark thoughts.

Re: What pissed you off today
The only time i've ever stayed in a hotel in my own city when my mum didn't have an event in the hotel the next day was because the room would've gone to waste anyway. Even if I didn't need the break from reality though there is still something liberating about sitting naked in a hotel bed eating a kebab and watching bad movies til 5 in the morning. Plus free breakfast in the morning, free mini toiletries and using a trouser press on $4 denim jeans just for the craic. Would've done me a world of good if i'd have actually needed it.

Re: What pissed you off today
I dont have a great track record with hotels. Either something will get broken, or I end up locked up in a toilet or something.
We accidentally broke a marble table in Belgium on a school trip in 2002. I had the police called in Poland after some Hungarians trashed our hotel room. Ive been saved from arrest in Greece for walking out of the hotel in a pissed up state naked. Hotel in Slovenia had glass on the headboard, which I thought was particularly dangerous as it was my headboard, and then all the countless times ive been locked out or locked into places. Top story for Polish hotels was one (that im now banned from no less) instance of my mate Alan fucking Carr locking me out of the hotel room and I was in dire need of a piss and there were no toilets in the hotel apart from inside the hotel rooms, and I was absolutely bursting. So I went up a floor and pissed up someones door. I got caught.
So ive been to Poland 6 times and im banned from two hotels.

I refuse to accept any of it was my fault. Well, the Greece part was my fault because I got fucking hammered off Bacardi. Everything else, wrong place, wrong time.

It took a few second's deducing after the "Your clearly broken, I'd tap him" comment towards Josh Groban. Then of course I had to go do a Google Image Search and have found that in some photos, he's lovely, and in others, he isn't at all.
The resultant confusion is not acceptable, and it's all Ben's fault

You need to see him on Buzzcocks. Then you'll want to tap him. Such a charmingly hilarious man.

Re: What pissed you off today
I'm just not sure whether the hotel thing would be a good idea or not. I've been feeling really miserable for a few days now, and most of all I just want to get some proper rest and time away from everyday life. I was sort of planning on spending my last 200 quid on flight tickets, but that's probably not going to happen. A night in a local hotel would cost maybe 50-80 quid, but then I'll have to add the costs for dinner etc too.
Just seems a bit stupid to spend that much money on something for myself rather than on something useful.
