You know what I love, 14 hour shifts without any type of food or break, and when a complaint is made I am told if I complain again I can take the zero part of my zero hour contract quite literally.

Unscrupulous employer. Avoid. You're required by law to take breaks (think it's minimum 15 for every 3 hours? I dunno, look it up, cba) and in a way they're kinda breaking the law by not allowing you to.

It's changed recently. 6 hours without a break is now the thing.

They need to be following you for you to DM them, but if you ask them to follow you as you've a query, they will do so and then you can send them a DM.

Cheers dude

You've mis-interpreted that, it's a 20 minute break during their shift if they work 6 hours or more.

No union in your work place?

If not I'm sure there is an Employment Rights lawyer who would love to take up a case on a no win, no fee basis.

I'm just going by what I've been told at work by the powers that be. I haven't researched into it, so I haven't mis-interpreted anything.

Workers have the right to one uninterrupted 20 minute rest break during their working day (this could be a tea or lunch break), if they work more than 6 hours a day.

I've been told if I put in a complaint I'll get the breaks no problem. I also won't get enough hours to pay my rent as he'll just cut me down to the minimum he can get away with (which with a zero hour contract - I'm fucked). Unfortunately the amount of hours I work I cannot get an interview anywhere else. Last time he had a hint that I had an interview (it was actually a doctors appointment) he just changed my shift so I was walking all that day.

That is brutal.

And I thought I was badly off working in customer services dealing with people trying to rip my employer off by claiming to have received empty boxes!

My knee was feeling much better so I had been doing some light runs on the treadmill (3-4K). Got a knee brace and decided to try a 5k today, all went well. Went for my lunchtime wander and my knee is properly fucking sore again godammit!
