Watchmen was also shit, I'll give you 300 though :)

I'd actually agree with you on these, although was Star Trek really a remake? A reboot yes, but not a remake in anyway.

I'll also add to that list The Rock, Blues Brothers, Inception, Dark Knight, Armaggedon, Four Lions, Kick Ass, Back to The Future...oh it's so hard to pick favourite films!

well to be fair, i was using them as examples of Snyder's creative abilities. i loved Watchmen and found 300 a boring piece after about an hour. buit each tot heir own, i still think he is going to really bring a new look creativly to Man of Steel. i know he has already altered the costume a little.

Star Trek. well it was kinda a remake but rebooted the whole history of the francise at the same time, so it's also kinda a sequel in a sense. im just psyched for the sequel next year. some of the pictures looking really interesting plus a redesign of the Klingons will be interesting.

I thought Watchmen was a perfect representation of the book personally :|

Technically it was awesome, and I thought well acted, but the book for me, was never going to make a good film, just doesn't have enough happening in it to make it a great watch, it's very story driven, and was more of a social commentary than anything else

While i generally wouldnt see eye to eye with Andy on most films, this i completely agree with. it was an impressive comic book adaption and visually looked amazing.

Just got back from seeing Ice Age 4.
Utterly brilliant. Peter Dinklage steals the show (something we've become used to with Game of Thrones) as Gigantopithecus pirate Captain Gutt, and Nick Frost is cast perfectly as Flynn, a retarded Elephant Seal.

On the Watchmen front, my biggest problem with it was there was more gore than in the comic adaption, the ending was changed and the tales of the Black Freighter were missing, (though that was rectified in one of the American versions)

And personally I don't think Synder's version did it complete justice, (it is hard too as the graphic novel is so non liner with jumping about in different time zones, etc) but it was enjoyable and he got the look completely spot on.

So a good 7-8 out of 10 for me.
