I found it tooooo talky & more than abit boring. Now dont get me wrong i dont want just action action action but it would be nice to have some in a war film! :coffee: .This is why i like Pulp because its got Brilliant dialogue Some action & lots more imagination to it,but we're all different yeah?

I can't speak for others, but I liked Basterds because it was a WW2 film that had the attitude of your typical Tarantino film - which I've never seen done before. It was a war film that was just full of cool. That, and Christoph Waltz's performance was fucking amazing. One of the most intimidating characters I've ever seen.

i think its the actual dialogue that saves Inglorious. some of it is long winded but there is a lot of detail in it. for instance, the german bar scene where the british soldier orders 3 shots and uses the wrong 3 fingers and the german soldier figures it out straight away. that was one of my favourite parts of the film.

Inglorious also had a lot of 'british' wit in it which is why i think he did a brillaint job with casting. Mike Myers plays the general (i think) perfectly as to how naive they were. and of course how sadistic the nazis were, Christopher Waltz did that brillaintly.

Tarrantino has a lot of depth to his films which can take a while to get.

I said to my girlfriend who just so it happens dislikes Austrians with all her heart, but his casting into that particular film was the single best bit of casting that ive ever seen. Incredible actor, and multilingual in four languages (always impresses me, I wish I could speak more than Brummie). I might track down a few of his films, as im keen on learning a tad of German when and where I can

US actor Peter Graves dead at 83

LOS ANGELES — US actor Peter Graves, who became popular in the 1960s because of his role in the television series "Mission: Impossible" died here Sunday at the age of 83, police said.

The police said the actor had died of "natural causes" at his home in the posh Los Angeles suburb of Pacific Palisades.

During his nearly 60-year Hollywood career, Graves appeared in more that 130 movies and television shows.

But he rose to the pinnacle of his career in 1967, when he became lead actor on "Mission: Impossible," where he played Jim Phelps, the leader of the Impossible Missions Force, or IMF, for six seasons of the series.

The series was taken off the air in 1973.

During the 1990s, Graves hosted the documentary series "Biography" on the A&E cable television channel.

Bought Eagle Vs Shark and Juno because they were cheap and I'm in the mood for somehting slightly whimsical/sentimental/fashionable indy bollocks.

Also got 14hours ( :o ) worth of Louis Theroux documentaries.

Eagle Vs Shark was good but it hardly left me feeling all gooey. It was typically whimsical for the most part but the ending was pretty crushing, even if I think it was probably intended to be a happy one. I think it's because Jarrod was far too much of an over the top dickhead whereas a lot of the others were more believeable, albeit heavily characterised.
Good film though.
