License to Kill???? That's one of the worst of the series!!! I would say everyone to their own opinion, but it's pretty much universally acknowledged as being dreadful!

Goldeneye and Die Another Day from the Pierce Brosnan's ones were way better (the other 2 PB's were poo though)

id agree there hasnt been a good film since Liscence to Kill but i did like Goldeneye. that was about as far as you could go with a hard ass bond without it looking pretty shit. i use to think George Lazenby was the worse bond until i saw Casino Royale. i can understand they want to remake the whole franchise but Sean Connery and Roger Moore made bond for me. the new films are just an attempt to copy what was done in the Bourne films. the directing, stunts, car chases, acting style, camera work. its all a rehash of Bourne and the fact they let Daniel Craig have input on the story and direction of the film was a joke. i seriously cant wait for them to get this 3rd film out of the way let some more talented actor play Bond.

Brosnan's bond was a fucking Kays catalogue knitwear model. Dalton was twice the Bond he ever was and Licence to Kill was the last Bond film which actually had me excited during any part of it. It was a far grittier and realistic Bond without any of the done-to-death "I'm going to take over the world. Muahhahahaha!!" megalomania.
It's also the Bond film which taught me to completely ignore the opinions of other Bond fans. When it was in it's planning stages, Warners asked fans what type of Bond they would like to see and the majority said they'd prefer a more down to earth Bond than before. So the studio (foolishly, it seems) listened to them and made LTK. Then, when it was released, those same fans turned on it and said "But it's not like the older Bond films. It's too violent, wah wah wah"! and proceeded to slate the tone of the film which they had helped create. It was violent, it was downright nasty in places and Dalton was cold as fuck. A great film and sadly underrated.
With the modern movie climate the way it is, with more emphasis on realism than escapism in thrillers (Die Hard 4 an exception to the rule), it comes as no surprise to me that Craig is playing Bond more like Dalton than any of the other templates.

NO NO NO NO :x

The new Bond movies are how the books were written , they have gone back to the source material , the 2 dalton films tried to capture it aswell , sadly he didn't last long

And daniel Craig actually puts some soul in to the character for me , and the fact that he is being universally praised for his part in the films makes me glad that you have no input in to the movies

I wouldn't say everything.. I've not sat through the entirety of Surf Nazis Must Die yet as I keep getting bored. Might try again soon actually.

In other news, I'm currently watching Herschell Gordon Lewis' "Blood Feast". It's not terrible.

Yes it is. Hilariously so.
But that's it's charm and why I love it. :D

Haha well my last terrible film (Special Dead) was so terrible that it was terrible. Made me forget that some films can be so bad that they're good. As I'm enjoying Blood Feast (despite being online while watching it..) I think I've categorized it as not terrible.
In short, those Troma films need to arrive soon. Clearly my brain isn't working as badly as it could be.

I've never attempted that one, heard it's awful (and not in the good way) though.
