Saw Sinister and Hit & Run tonight. Both reasonably enjoyable.
Sinister was one of those supernatural "jump scare" films involving the protagonists kids. Nothing hugely original here, but fairly entertaining.
Hit & Run was pretty funny.

All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

I agree, even tempted to say it was better than the first. It was just so wacky and off the wall! I had afro circus in my head for ages

Re: movies
Seriously doubt I'll even bother with Madagascar 3 seeing as the second one was so utterly crap. My daughter got bored after twenty minutes and the wife asked me to turn it off half an hour later. And they both love those type of films.

Wrath Of The Titans
I enjoyed the first one, many didn't, but anyway this is more action packed, and the FX are a lot better, nice to see the Gods in battles too, damn good sequel
8/10

I thought the first one was absolutely terrible and the reviews for this have been scathing so I'll probably give it a miss.
Shaky cam footage of the Evil Dead remake trailer...looks surprisingly promising.

Re: movies
It looked generic and shitty for the first minute or so, but that last 30 seconds of scene flashes sold it to me.

If I listened to reviews I think I would never actually see or hear anything
But if you didn't like the first one, this wont change your mind, it is a better film though
Re: movies
I do tend to find films which get lambasted by critics are quite deserving of it. I can't think of many films I love which got an absolute kicking critically. On the flip side though, there are plenty of acclaimed films which I don't see the fuss about. I'm indifferent at best towards half of IMDB's top 10.

What about the bottom 100?

I've heard of a few of those but never actually seen any of them! I did set myself the task of watching all of IMDB's top 100 and have almost completed it...I think pledging to watch the bottom 100 would be absolute torture haha.

I've only seen a couple of them: Santa Claus (the dubbed mexican one) and Santa With Muscles. Gonna watch Santa Claus Conquers The Martians and Jingle All The Way (not on the bottom 100, but should be a good companion piece) this christmas.
The concept of watching all those movies seems cool at first, but you've got to remember that some of them will be in there because they don't even qualify as "so bad it's good".
I would like to see Troll 2 though.

Re: movies
Perfect examples for me are Season Of The Witch and the last Mummy movie, critically panned but I could watch them quite happily any time, both fun films, and I really do rate Wrath Of The Titans

Not bothered about Bond movies at all, but I watched Quantum of Solace on Sky Anytime last night to have a butcher's at Gemma Arterton. Lovely.
