Dark Knight Rises started badly and got progressively better.

Re: movies
I just find it interesting that the films' flaws are far more interesting to talk about than what it did right. I think this is mainly because everything it did get right, The Dark Knight did also, so there isn't a lot to talk about.
It's not a bad film at all, but I don't think anyone expected it to be better than The Dark Knight. If you did prefer it though, awesome! I didn't.
Loved Bane though

Re: movies
I think TDK was a perfect Batman film, and the best of the 3, but the tone for the final encounter was brilliant, and I just love how these films don't insult the audience, they are comic films, but they realise that the readers aren't all 13, just a really well made trilogy and intelligently done, well done Chris Nolan

Re: movies
Trailer for Oblivion is out, post apocolyptic Sci Fi with Mr Cruise and from the director of Tron ( the film looked good at least) flying some awesome ships on a dead earth

Re: movies
this is effectively a love story, based within a unique and terrifying backdrop, humanity is infected with a virus where 1 by 1 your senses go, in the mean time the 2 leads fall in love and try and build a relationship, both are flawed, have major problems, and by the end I was left feeling quite effected by this film, the acting is as good as you will see, the script is very good, the subject hard hitting, and by the end if you aren't effected, i'll be surprised, it's a 1 watch film as I found it hard going, but a 9/10 film nontheless, but I can't think of anything worse than having no senses

Re: movies
Turns out Hellraiser 4 and 5 actually aren't that bad.
Both go in kinda different directions, and just use the box as a reason to show a cool movie.
Onto 6.

Ghost Rider : The Spirit Of Vengance..
It was pretty damn entertaining, but that's because it failed on almost every level imaginable. Cinematography from the director of the Crank films made it look interesting though, but the film itself...wasn't.
Worth a watch if you're up for a laugh, but it's terrible nonetheless.

I haven't seen it but I find it hard to believe it's the worst film of 2012. War Horse was the biggest crock of shit I've sat through.
As for TDKR, it's not as good as the previous 2 but still a cracking couple hours entertainment. It bugged me at times ( Bane's plot is ridiculously convoluted, how did Bruce get back to Gotham, how did Bane smuggle him out, why did Bane bother to go with him just to sneer at him for 30 seconds, how could anyone recover from a broken back to fight like Batman went on to ). But at the end of the day it's a comic book film so I can go with this sort of nonsense. Still preferred The Avengers though. It was just so much more fun.

Re: movies
Avengers and Cabin In The Woods are still my top 2 films of the year so far.
I still need to see Wreck-It Ralph, 7 Psychopaths and The Hobit though.

Re: movies
Worst film of 2012 is The Lorax. No arguments.
